Between 2002 and 2012 I trained at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague as a classical dancer. I was taught by teachers such as Esther Protzman, Laurence Korsenti, Wim Broeckx and Shirley Essenboom and performed in classical repertoire as well as work by Jîrí Kylián, Monique Sand, Martha Graham and Lightfoot/Leon. During the rehabilitation process after hip surgery I discovered Gaga. With this movement practice I developed a creative relationship with my body, a sustainable training method and a new, organic movement vocabulary. Through workshops, intensives and projects with different choreographers and teachers in The Netherlands and abroad, I have developed into a versatile dancer with a personal, sensitive style. Down here you will find a few of the projects that I have worked on as a dancer/performer.
